The Market

New York City is hands down, one of the greatest tourist cities in the world. Between the natural beauty of Central Park, architectural monuments like Radio City Music Hall, and even just a quiet cup of coffee amidst the hustle and bustle of city life, it’s hard not to want to be a part of the action – if just for a short vacation. So, when a pair of our friends from here in Seattle decide to pack up, move to the Big Apple, and open a tour company, they came to Vox to get started.

The Client

Operating in one of the most competitive markets on the planet meant that M2M needed to quickly establish a strong digital footprint. Our team met with the business’ NYC based web design partners and guided their developers in optimizing the site’s content for virility with social “share” features, a powerful and beautifully designed content engine, integrated digital footprint including social media, Google My Business, reputation management, and local SEO.

The Solution

Our team trained the new owners on how to build effective content around the tourism industry that would rank highly in searches for terms like “NYCInbound Marketing for Moments2Memories Tours in NYC Tours” and “Tours of Manhattan”, focusing on popular and most asked about features, like “what are those towers on the tops of many New York City Building?”.

Our team understood recommendation engines like Yelp and Trip Advisor were going to be a big deal for Moments2Memories, as these were one of the first places vacationers check for local “things to do” and other site seeing information.  Adding “follow us on” buttons to the site as well as badges helped to integrate the two allowing potential customers to see first hand reviews directly from the company’s website.

As business picked up, Vox Social worked with the company to build automation workflows around customer lists and site inquiries, including “Recommend a Friends” discounts, customer rewards for leaving positive reviews on reputation based social media sites like Google and Facebook Reviews. Social media was build out to publish the business’ onsite content and editorial calendars were added to the mix including features like “tour of the month”, and contests for deeply discounted tours during the business’ slower months.
